In this exhibition, we shared with the viewers our reflections on immigration.

What did we leave behind? What did we take with us when we left our hometown?

We can carry a big suitcase or a small backpack, but we are always carrying a whole universe of dreams and hope in it.

In the immigrant's baggage are not just personal belongings, but especially memories, feelings, landscapes, and personal experiences.

To immigrate is to develop the ability of detachment: to leave family, friends, uncompleted projects; to flee our homeland in search of a new life, new cherished dreams. In this baggage, we carry also the wish to go back home one day, knowing that our family is always our safe harbor.
